Ok...fine

I absolutely cannot believe it has been 1.5 months since I have updated. I have had a couple of gentle reminders that I have not updated the blog recently...so here it is! Fine here you go, an update!

Life in the Iverson house is good, Garett is great and no surprise we are busy! But who isn't right? I am in awe of how Garett is changing before our eyes! He is a running, talking, independent little man and boy can he make us laugh (and make us frustrated too, but what 2.5 year old can't right?) He has a way about him that is methodical and particular. He likes things just so. He knows what he wants and will often just do what he wants, until we say otherwise. He is a creature of habit, not unlike his mom or dad! Without fail when we walk into the house after getting home for the day we feed Lucky (yes he feeds her!) and than he heads over to the sink to get some cups. Yes, cups. If he is lucky and I am feeling tired, he than plays in the water in the sink and pours water back and forth from cup to cup. He L-O-V-E-S to play with cups. I can't explain why, he just does. They are in a way like a security blanket. On most days he brings one to day care too! Who knows really! Hans and I like to fantasize that his obsession with cups and water, means he will be into science, or engineering or something smart like that...or maybe he will literally like to pour stuff into cups (like a bartender), who knows. All I know is he loves it.

See?? Playing with water and cups!

He has also started talking up a storm, which brings out his humorous side! He is saying short sentences and telling us what he thinks. It is fun to see his vocabulary grow and we are very careful now to watch our vocabulary too! I dropped something on the way out to the garage. Luckily I said "shoot." Not 1 second later Garett was saying shoot, just like me. It could have very well been the other word that is similar sounding, but it wasn't...we have cleaned up our language 100% (thankfully!) We have been practicing our animal noises too...see below! (and don't mind the cough please in the middle of the video!)

Garett has also had a big change in day care, he now goes to one! We miss Tricia, but it was time to do something different (primarily because I now work part-time to help manage my school too!) He has done well and adjusted! The first week was a little rough, but now is good. There are 2 other 2 year olds there, so he is learning to share and talk and play. It has been a good switch, other than the fact Lucky is now by herself. But she has 2 new doggie doors that allow her to come and go in and out as she pleases!

So there it is an update along with some pictures too!

We visited the Stock Show, which is really a State Fair/4-H type show. Hans got to relive his childhood and Garett got to see a lot of farm stuff.

The coat Garett is wearing was my brother Michael's and was handed down to my other brother Nathan...now see who's wearing it!

I just liked these pictures because his hair was so crazy that day. He has just got up from a nap and before the nap he had been swimming!
